I just adore these Calder-esque wire sculptures available at Anthropologie. They are every inch whimsy and would look lovely atop a bookcase, don’t you think? Above, the Chateau Lamp, an “illuminated wirework rendering of an offbeat yet stately manor.” Below, the Weatherworn Ferris Wheel and Aviary Castle. I’m sure I can find a place for one of them, the question is…where?
Calder’s my favorite sculptor and you totally called it with these–they are absolutely incredible! If only I had an extra $300 lying around, I would totally pick up the aviary castle! Too much fun.

I’m glad you appreciate the Calder comparison. I saw a wonderful exhibit of his work at the Whitney last year…great stuff. If only is right…
