This 1958 Richard Avedon photograph of Elizabeth Taylor is absolutely captivating. I love that she’s simply styled without gems or distractions. She really was devastatingly beautiful—just look at those almond eyes!

So stunning. And to tell the truth, you two look quite a bit alike!
Katie Armour says
Elizabeth Rose — I’ve been meaning to read it! Must pick up a copy!
Lena — I don’t know if there’s an ounce of truth to that, but you just made my night. I’ve heard it once before, but it was an old flame and lord knows the boy had other motives : ) We need to get together next week for a girls dinner if nothing else. Remind me if I space!

I love Elizabeth Taylor, she has always been my idol. I am an artist and want to draw a portrait of her from a magazine article photo that Richard Avedon did on her, early 1960’s. She was nude from the hip up, back facing , holding a towel. He commented that she was running a temperature at the time of the photo and what a trooper she was. I need that photo, please!
