There’s something riveting about these contact sheets from Richard Avedon’s photo session with the Kennedy family. Taken on January 3, 1961 in Palm Beach, Florida, the images were a portrait assignment commissioned by Harper’s Bazaar. The out takes are in fact my favorite shots—Jack blinking with that big grin of his. You feel as though you’re getting a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Camelot. As intrigued as I am?
