Alidad at Home in London

I love the work of Alidad (his book is an absolute treasure) so I was thrilled to see the decorator’s home published in a recent issue of Veranda. Born in Iran and educated in Switzerland, the worldly designer now calls London home. Each room showcases a masterful mix of antique styles, not surprising given Alidad was once the head of Islamic art and textiles at Sotheby’s. His jewel box dining room with its custom hand-painted and embossed-leather walls steals the show. And can we talk about the stunning 19th-century suzani in his bedroom…? The dream!
