The 2019 Southern Living Idea House decorated by interior designer Heather Chadduck Hillegas was recently unveiled and it’s the beach house of dreams. Located in Crane Island, Florida, the spacious home flaunts indoor and outdoor living at its finest (it boasts over 1,000 square feet of porch space alone!) and Heather decorated with calming blues and neutrals throughout. Below, explore some of my favorite rooms from the finished property and of course, see it all in Southern Living’s August 2019 issue on newsstands now.
Heather Chadduck had the front door painted in Sherwin-Williams Blustery Sky.
Circa Lighting‘s gorgeous Lorford Smoke Bell Lanterns look stunning in the Entry Hall.
The spacious kitchen features Gracie Studio‘s New World wallpaper behind the range.
The pantry is chic as can be with its practical open shelving and Sherwin-Williams Magnolia Home wallpaper. Many of the rattan and raffia accessories are from Amanda Lindroth.
A light-filled hallway with more lovely bell jar lanterns.
The living room may be my favorite with its fabulous velvet armchairs, classic garden stools, and stripe Turkish kilim.

Another glimpse of the living room. The bird art is from Ornis gallery.
In the powder room the trim and wainscot are painted in Sherwin-Williams Refuge and the wallpaper is Meg Braff Designs’ Little Egypt. The monogrammed hand towels are by the one and only Leontine Linens.
An antique chandelier hangs above the dining room table. The Lee Industries dining chairs are covered in Petite Frond by Heather Chadduck Textiles.
A series of abstracts by Catherine Jones Studio are hung in the stair hall under a large picture light by Circa Lighting.
The Master Bedroom has a four poster bed with a canopy made in Heather Chadduck Textiles’ Grande Frond in Olive.
Heather Chadduck’s Grande Frond pattern was used for the bedroom’s curtains as well. I love when one pattern is repeated throughout a room, don’t you?
Another glimpse of the lovely Master Bedroom.
The Master Bath has an amazing Cast Iron Bath by Cheviot that was custom painted Sherwin-Williams’ Rookwood Dark Green. Chadduck also used one of my favorite wallpapers–Jasper by Michael Smith’s Indian Flower in Brown.
In the upper hallway are fabulous wicker console tables and a bold Dash & Albert wool runner.
In the Queen Bedroom is an antique iron bed with a custom canopy in textiles by Chadduck’s own line and Jasper by Michael Smith.
In the adjoining bathroom is Dianthus Chintz wallpaper by Soane Britain.
The custom designed Bunk Room would delight any child. I especially love the animal art prints from Ornis Gallery.
The charming Mud Room has a built-in bench with storage and plenty of hooks for hanging up bags, hats, and coats.
The dining porch has a handsome copper lantern.
I hope you enjoyed this house tour! Be sure to read the full story in the August issue of Southern Living and of course, you can always explore more inspiring interiors here!

I have been a loyal subscriber of Southern Living for years and always love their idea houses. This one was my absolute favorite though! I especially loved the bunk room. Thanks for linking some of the products used–very helpful!

Where are the wicker console tables from in the upstairs hall?
Katie Armour Taylor says
Mary – I wish I knew! Will do some research. I know Soane in England makes something similar!

What is the name of the blue fabric covered chairs with white legs in the dining room from Lee Industries?
What style would these chairs be classified as?
What is the name of the fabric on those chairs?
