We leave for London and Paris next week and I’m in crazy-Katie planning mode (itineraries are my passion). While in London, we’ll be dividing our time between two gorgeous Firmdale Hotels decorated by Kit Kemp. The first is their newest property, the Ham Yard Hotel. I’ve been dreaming about visiting their handsome library (above) ever since I spotted it on instagram last year. I’ll be sure to snap lots of photos while I’m there (I finally got a good camera!), but here’s a sneak preview. The Hamyard is everything! We stayed there last September. Absolutely stunning interiors. Fantastic location. I am dying to go back.

In London, visit the Tower of London. Kew Gardens is worth a trip. For a museum, the Tate Gallery is great.
In Paris, take a day to visit Versailles. I’ve heard visiting the Petit Trianon is totally worth it. When I went last time, we didn’t budget enough time at Versailles, and we missed the Petit Trianon – I was bummed. There is a cool outdoor market on Sundays in the Marais District. If you like antiquing, you will enjoy the Marche aux Puces. And of course, all of the fabulous museums and monuments!

I just read about Carousel in Marylebone this morning :) http://www.carousel-london.com/ It’s a restaurant with rotating guest chefs and it looks beautiful. Have a wonderful time!
