I’m eager to visit New York this summer and the Frida Kahlo exhibit opening at The New York Botanical Garden is taunting me to just buy the plane ticket already. Open May 16-November 1, 2015, the show not only exhibits more than a dozen of Kahlo’s works, but also reimagines the famous painter’s garden and art studio at Casa Azul, her home in Mexico City. I can’t wait to see the Botanical Garden’s interpretation of the natural wonders of Mexico that were a lifelong inspiration to Kahlo.

She was/is such an inspiration to so many people and the New York Botanical Garden show looks wonderful. But don’t miss going to see the Casa Azul in Coyoacan, (now a neighborhood of Mexico City.) THAT is the truly inspirational place!

Zinnia – I didn’t make it to Casa Azul when I was in Mexico City years ago and am anxious to get back for just that reason! Thanks for the reminder! :)
