I read an article titled “How I Learned to Speak French in 17 Days” on Business Insider this morning and it totally blew my mind. Such dedication! It makes perfect sense though — when I spent a summer in France in high school my Parisian host family refused to speak English with me and in a few short weeks my speaking skills had improved by leaps and bounds (as had my Nutella eating skills…). One night, I remember actually dreaming in French! Of course reading the article now has me eager to brush up on my skills. What languages do you know? Do you have any tips for learning a new one?
