If you follow me on instagram, you may know I’ve been growing out my pixie cut for what feels like a lifetime (last November the left side was buzzed with a #1…that’s barber shop talk for really short). Well friends, I finally (!!!) have a bob and it has me feeling like Rapunzel. My natural hair has always been very thick and healthy but after going platinum blonde and back my locks were positively parched. Without further ado, the products I’ve been using to nourish my hair and make the growing out process (a bit) less painful:
1. Viviscal Hair Growth Supplements – forget basic biotin, these are a game changer. I take them 2x a day and my hair feels stronger, healthier, and is growing significantly faster // 2. Living Proof No Frizz Conditioner – my daily conditioner, a godsend for color-treated and heat-styled hair // 3. Living Proof No Frizz Shampoo – Can you tell I love their products? I use and love the coordinating shampoo // 4. Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil – use before blow drying and straightening, it leaves my hair shiny, like magic // 5.Living Proof Restore Mask Treatment – Last month I began using this deep conditioning mask 2x week (let it soak in for 5+ minutes in the shower) and my hair is so thankful. I’m eager to try this Kiehl’s mask too // 6. Lastly, get regular trims! I know cutting your hair seems counterintuitive, but getting rid of my split ends and having my cut reshaped regularly (i.e. avoiding a mullet) has been crucial over the past 12 months. GOOD LUCK!

Simone – Thank you! I was so nervous to grow it out! It hasn’t been “long” in so many years, wasn’t sure how it’d turn out :)

Katie, it would be lovely to see more pics of your bob. I started following you when you cut your hair short but I also love your new look. It’s been a wonderful journey and you’re very inspiring.
Would you like to grow your hair long now?? I have a bob myself and keep telling myself to grow it longer but I always end up cutting it. Oh my, hair seems to be a never ending topic :-)
Hugs to you from
