The Farnsworth House

When I first spotted these photos of the Farnsworth House on Pinterest my modernist-loving heart skipped a beat. Designed in 1945 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the “glass box” in Plano, Illinois remains one of America’s greatest architectural masterpieces. I’m anxious to tour the site before it closes for winter, but may just have to wait until spring. In the meantime, the lego set will simply have to suffice.
