I’ve always loved this shot from Domino magazine with an Hermes scarf framed on the wall. I’d love to do the same in our new apartment and The Lucky Fish has a variety of reasonably priced Vera Neumann options. Among my favorites are the Mondrian-esque, leopard spotted (morphing into mod tiger stripes, naturally…), pop art sun and emerald maze. Thoughts…?

I’ll admit it, I bought a hermes scarf in Paris and had it framed – it’s in our bedroom. It’s really a statment piece and I love it!

Oh, you’ve given me such a good idea.
I had come down with a wicked cold two days before my wedding. While out shopping in the local village, a guest came across two handkerchiefs. One was blue and white with my, soon to be, initial on it which I carried this one up the aisle while I sniffled away. The other was obviously an old souvenir as it had pictures of some of the great castles in Scotland on it (we were married in a castle in Scotland, but alas it was not one of the ones pictured on the handkerchief). Framing these two pieces, which have been in a drawer for almost eight years, will be a great memento.

You know, I’ve been thinking about scarves. If only it were easier for people of our generation to wear them–without looking like we’re trying to make a statement. There’s just something so elegant and refined about scarves of this variety, but the current fashion has replaced them with long and thin. *Sigh*
I adore this idea and have seen it executed well in so many different ways which makes me inclined to try it myself with a Pucci scarf I’ve been saving. Any of the picks above would made a great statement; good luck!
this is a great idea especially if you put them in those frames with clips so you can use them any time!
Love vintage scarves but I wear them. Would be hard to pick one but a frame in which I can change them round would do the trick!
When I worked for Charlotte Moss New York, we had the best time hunting around for vintage scarves and fabrics to frame… it’s such a fun way add some color to a room!

What a wonderful idea! Someone should quilt a bunch of scarves together, that might be cool! I’m sure people have lots of crazy, and maybe even gorgeous, scarves packed away somewhere! Thanks for sharing!
