My favorite design gallery in Copenhagen, The Apartment (remember this beauty?), is having a pop-up and if you find yourself in Scandinavia between now until September, you must stop by (so you can be inspired and so I can live vicariously)! The new space was designed by The Apartment’s owner Tina Seidenfaden Busck who has a truly unique and clever eye for design (one of the best in the world IMHO). Her spaces always have such a fresh point and view and are layered beautifully with unusual color pairings and vintage treasures from around the globe (though she’s Danish most of the pieces she sells are actually French or Italian).
Tina also happens to be the childhood best friend of our ridiculously stylish previous landlord (I think my love of The Apartment is what helped us snag our gorgeous Danish flat, funny how life works!). My favorite feature of the pop-up may just be the Josef Frank clover print wallcovering…does life get any sweeter?
A ticking stripe red sofa is now on my wish list. I also share Tina’s love of vintage and antique quilts—you can see one draped over the sofa above.
Paper flowers by Livia Cetti perch above an antique painted armoire. How sweet is the bobbin chair in front and the faux bamboo floor mirror?
The perfect spot for a lively dinner party. After all, the Danes love to entertain at home. You can practically hear the laughter and cocktail glasses clinking.
Love the simple rush seating and the Paul Klee lithograph that pops off the wall.
A gorgeous table setting in the Pop-Up complete with Jean Roger Paris candlesticks and retro raffia placemats. I’m also coveting those green dinner plates and yellow candlesticks. Below are some of my favorite new arrivals at The Apartment:
