Happy Fourth of July! Today, I thought it would be fun to share the work of one of my favorite stateside decorators, Ashley Whitaker. Based in New York, Ashley’s work is known for its playful color palettes and masterful mix of prints. A Florida native, the interior designer worked under the legendary Markham Roberts (love his book) before striking out on her own. Ashley’s stunning interiors (I’m obsessed with her powder room designs…) have since been published far and wide. Below, find some of my favorites and, if you like, follow Ashley on instagram here.

Thank you! So fun to see this one! xx
These are all wonderful. Some of the rooms remind me of my New England upbringing. The eggplant room was stunning. The colors of red used are perfect. So much fun to look at this during covid stay-at-home. I recommend online eye candy as a way of coping. Thanks so much!
These are beautiful. Could you give more information on the drapery rods that look like pipes? What are these called? So many of the “pipe” rods look industrial—looking for something similar to many of those pictured here for our 1920s house. Thanks os much!
