I am absolutely smitten with the oil paintings of artist Janet Hill. Her subjects are all dressed so smart and positively ooze vintage glamour. I love their saturated color palettes—can’t you envision one of her canvases hung above the mantle in your living room? I could, if we had the luxury of having a mantle that is… Anyhow, be sure to visit Janet’s website and shop, she paints fantastic interiors too! I think the girl with the ship in the background is my favorite—it’s so Coco Avant Chanel. Do you have a favorite? Do tell!
These are amazing!! I think I have to purchase a print (or four)– I can’t believe that I’ve never heard of this wonderful artist before. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
XOXO fallon
Fallon — Aren’t they so great?! I stumbled across them by chance scanning through the Etsy oil paintings archives. Such a find. Her website/blog is amazing! XO
Love these! I seem to have been especially struck by the woman near the farm. I think I should have been raised a cowgirl/farm lady. ;)
Beautiful.

These are so cute! I love the first one and the girl with the boat in the background. I am going to her website right now!
Cassie — I love the farm one too! It makes me want to move out to the country and buy some geese!
Staley — Great minds think alike : ) The first one screams southern belle to me, I just adore it. XO
so beautiful! they have a calming effect about them.
These are all charming! lovely!

My fave is the second one, I love (classy) boudoir photography and this is in the same vain.

Her paintings are beautiful. She has on in her shop called ‘Evening in Central Park’ that I adore! XOXO
These are fabulous. You’re taste impresses me every time!
i love them all!! these are gorgeous!
That woman with the geese is so elegant!
If I had a farm with geese, I would definitely wear long red skirts and jeweled necklaces to tend them.
These are amazing. Would it be vain of me if I said I’d love to have a glamorous painting like this of myself? They’re just so lovely.
Thanks Kate! These are gorgeous. I love the one with the lady in a pink dress, I was too lazy to figure out what it’s called. :) And ditto on the mantle. xo
These are adorable! I love the vintage feel they all have. Even more exciting…I just bought the brass elephant from your etsy store! I’m trying to spruce up my book shelves! xx
Thanks Amanda! You’re too sweet. I’ll put him in the mail today, he’s quite the cutie. XO
These are simple and full of classic style. Beautiful paintings. Thanks for sharing.
I have a gorgeous, gorgeous Janet Hill print above my sofa as we speak. I love it!
Anna — So jealous! You would… XO
I like the farm girl the best (I am a farmer’s daughter after all). Why is she dressed to the nines, hanging out with the geese? She could tell a story or two, I’m sure.
Exquisite paintings. I’ve actually just posted something similar on my blog. Great minds….
I bought my mom an original two years ago for Christmas. I am DYING to get one for myself. I absolutely love her art.
