  • Every room of @hotelpeterandpaul is an absolute dream! If you find yourself in New Orleans I highly recommend you take a tour of the property (it’s free and open to guests and non-guests alike!). My charming room has gingham and stripes, but this room with its crimson canopy bed was a serious showstopper. That marble tub! 😍
  • Magical place to start the day with a cup of tea and a good novel. Missing Gabriel like crazy (it was my first night ever away from my baby boy!) but mama needed a vacation. So happy to be back in New Orleans, one of my favorite cities 💛
  • This is one 🎉 We love you, sweet Gabriel, to the moon and back. Our lives are infinitely more joyful (and full of mischief!) with you in it. One year ago today our adoption agency called and said an expectant mother was going into labor with a baby boy and had picked us to be his parents. Your papa and I laughed and cried in disbelief and then frantically began booking plane tickets and packing suitcases (I still tease papa for having packed 90 tea bags—he is very British). Meanwhile, your beautiful strong birth mama brought you into this world with such courage. When we walked into the hospital room and saw her holding you in her arms our hearts nearly exploded. She was so kind and smart and very funny (she’s so excited to FaceTime with you today! 😊). You were so tiny and when your papa first held you his eyes filled with tears. You immediately felt like family and we knew our lives would never be the same. Being your mama is the greatest gift and privilege. Happy happy birthday, baby bear. I hope all your wishes come true. 🎂
