  • My heart is bursting with love on my first Mother’s Day. Thank you, sweet baby Gabriel, for making me a mama. I love you to the moon and back, my darling boy. Your big brown eyes and gummy smile are the light of my life. And thank you to your beautiful, brave birth mama for choosing adoption and making my dream of motherhood come true. We are so lucky to have her in our lives. If you are struggling to grow your family this Mother’s Day, please know I am sending you strength and love. Treat yourself kindly. Eat the ice cream. Have a good cry. Know that families come in all shapes and sizes and colors and that someday, somehow, you will have a little one to hold if that’s the path you continue to pursue. Keep the faith.
