Christie’s has unveiled the treasures from their highly anticipated auction “The Collection of Lee Radziwill” and it’s fascinating to peruse the offerings of the late style icon. From the fabulous Le Manach upholstered armchairs of her Paris apartment (see above) to mementos from her childhood alongside sister Jackie Kennedy Onassis, there are several highly recognizable pieces bidders will likely go crazy for. The sale includes jewelry, fine art, photography, and decorative arts from Lee’s homes in both New York and Paris. Below, explore some of my top picks from the upcoming auction. “The Collection of Lee Radziwill” preview will held October 11-15 in New York and the auction itself will take place October 17, 2019. I’ve always been a fan of Princess Lee. I was fortunate to have been a teenager during the Camelot years. First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy was a wonderful influence on young people, exposing us to a culture of classic beauty we were ignorant of. Right beside her, was her exquisite sister. I recall the fabulous pictures of Lee Radziwill’s interiors that appeared in Architectural Digest and other periodicals. They were right out of a dream! Thank you for sharing this.
