I’m all about abstract art lately, and the colorful canvases of Lola Donoghue caught my eye. Based in Galway, Ireland, the artist honed her craft while studying fine art at the Limerick School of Art and Design. Her large, expressive works have a distinctively feminine color palette consisting of white “layered with a mix of muted colors and splashes of bright neon.” Equally alluring is the grand scale of Lola’s paintings—the vast canvases are statement makers and scene stealers. Oh I LOVE Lola Donoghue’s art! I’ve just re-done my office and am eyeing them up for my wall but can’t decide on one – the colours and tones in each are so beautiful. I love the scale of them too.
