Ever since I went platinum blonde two weeks ago (details on that later…!) I’ve been on a crazy beauty kick. Thought it might be fun to share some of my new favorites.
1. Lately I’ve been wearing Aerin Lauder’s new ‘Amber Musk’ fragrance every day. It’s sexy and feminine and makes me feel grown-up. // 2. Clinique’s Moisture Surge is my miracle moisturizer. It’s the only thing I’ve found that will keep my skin super hydrated without making it break out. // 3. There’s a reason while Khiel’s Lip Balm has a cult following. My parched winter lips are now a thing of the past. // 4. Bobbi Brown’s eyeshadow palettes always have a gorgeous range of colors and this limited edition “Nectar & Nude” palette is perfect for spring. // 5. After trying a sample of this GLAMGLOW Youthmud Mask I immediately placed an order. They call it a “facial in a jar.” Yes, please. // 6. Tom Ford lipsticks are a splurge, but they’re worth every penny. This pretty, sheer “Summer Fling” hue was calling my name. //

Clinique has been my routine staple for almost half my life (my mom started me on their 3-step line when I was 13!) but that Moisture Surge lotion in particular has saved my skin this winter. xo

Yay, blonde! Love! How long did it take you? Took me 4 hours at the salon to get my pixie blonde, and even then it didn’t want to go platinum. I probably should have gone for one more session, but I got lazy.
Also, Moisture Surge is great! No break outs. I also found a slightly more moisturizing alternative that has been working like a charm too from Aveda: http://aveda.cm/1fYK6L6
Now I just need a foundation that won’t kill my skin. :)

Mariel – The first session was 3 hours for me and it went pretty white! I had never had my hair colored before so that helped. I went in again a week later for a quick touch-up and now it’s bona fide platinum. Going to do a full post about it. I’m now a blonde product junkie! Thanks for the Aveda tip!
