So we took my pixie shorter than it’s ever been and above are the results! I love it and it will be so easy to “style” (do you know I haven’t blow dried my hair in over a year? Amazing…). After my hair appointment I swung by The Common to say hello to the Taylor Stitch boys. They’re such gentlemen, always a pleasure. Next I had lunch at the yummy Pizzeria Delfina with my amazingly talented friend Amanda and her cute-as-pie baby, Lincoln. He stole my heart! Last but not least, I met up with Mr. Armour for a little shopping. The striped sweater and tuxedo jacket above are both from Club Monaco — I can’t wait to wear them in NY next week! Anyway, just an update. Does this personal life stuff bore you to tears? Hope you’ve all had a wonderful week! xoxo Katie
(watch, iPhone case, my favorite liquid eyeliner)
Very cute. Love your liner too…is it liquid?
Thanks Maura! I use a black Armani eye pencil first (top and bottom) and then on the top only add a liquid liner by Almay. You can buy it at the drugstore and it’s fantastic! Hope this helps! xx
I had mine that short over the summer. SO simple and easy- I loved it! I might have to revisit those days now that I’m having to use the blow dryer AND flatiron. I’m definitely longing for something more low-maintenance! Looks amazing, by the way. xxxoooo
Morgan – I remember the blow drier and flat iron days! I have thick, wavy hair and it was a must when I had it long. You should take the plunge again this spring!
Stunning … you are stunning, truly.
I might have to- I do have a trim coming up. Maybe I’ll just chop it again. I don’t know how much longer I can deal with these crazy bangs!
Eeeek! So cute!!!! You went for it!! I swear we look alike and now you have me thinking I should go that short! I love it! Getting it cut tomorrow, we’ll see! And I love the personal stuff! That’s what I relate to. ;) xoxo
P.S. I’m jealous that you’ve mastered the cat eye. I need to try liquid liner! I’ve been trying with bobbi brown gel eye liner. Time to get serious.
and would you mind sharing where you got your iPhone case?
looks like tortoiseshell or leopard? very cool …
Cate – You are very kind. Thank you!!! The case is tortoiseshell and I ordered it online from InCase!
Colleen – I love the Bobbi Brown gel liner too! It stays put so well, but I’m not very good at doing the cat-eye tip with their brush…I need to practice!
I like all about your look, your hairstyle, make-up watches and this cute I-phone case and of course both otfits. Simple but sooo amazing….
LOVELOVELOVE the haircut – very cute. And keep posting the personal stuff – although of course I love your other posts, it is nice to get to know the girl behind them
I have short hair envy right now. Your shorter cut screams confidence, class and chic. It doesn’t hurt that you have such a beautiful face to go with it.
have a great weekend!
As an SF resident I must know your stylist! Only 4 months ago I went the pixie route and then last week I went even shorter (similar to what you have now). The look is perfect for you!
Thank you everyone!!!
Brooke – Alex at DiPietro Todd’s downtown location. He’s fantastic!
love it!
and really like your personal stuff.
have a lovely day, ulrika
the cut is perfect! absolutely perfect!
but so are your brows and eye liner.
that’s the thing about pixie cuts – it draws more attention to eyes.
Trish McEvoy makes a great brush for fail-proof cat eye wing-tips.
It’s the #50 Angled Eye Lining brush.
But I’m going to check out the Almay liner now too !
Your hair looks amazing!!! Omg not a lot of people can pull off that cut and you my dear most definitely CAN! Good for you! P.S. Love your iphone case too. :)
Cute cut! Looks great!
Your hair looks fabulous! I only wish I could pull that off. You look absolutely lovely!
Love the cut, but I also love your eyebrow shape! I am an eyebrow weirdo (its one of the first things I look at) and your’s, my dear, are fab!!
xoxo, Emily

Seriously love it. Totally edging, but you’re rocking the Audrey Hepburn look too. I had a pixie for three years and have since grown it out for my wedding (womp), but you’re inspiring me to go back! :)
Absolutely love it. Thanks for sharing!
Love the shorter cut! I have thick wavy hair too, and I just cut my hair into a pixie like yours. Can I ask what styling products you use? I am having a hard time finding something that wont give me a “wet” look.
Have a great day, thanks for sharing with us!
Cate – I’m going to have to get that brush! Thank you! So helpful :)
Demetra – Two products I love are Sebastian’s Liquid Gloss (defrizzing polishing drops) and Rene Furterer’s Carthame (no-rince day-time moisturizing conditioner). Unfortunately, they’re both from the salon and are rather pricey. If you find something great at the drugstore let me know! ;)
I LOVE your hair. It works so well with your fab eyeliner, too!
Super cute! Love that it is short enough that it can be subdued or messy so that Husband won’t freak when you go to ‘business meetings!’ ;)
Lovely! Such a gorgeous look!
your haircut is SO beautiful! very chic.
i am loving the hair! i so want to do that some day.
You are still adorable Mrs. Armour~ xoxo
Love your hair cut! Love the personal stuff!
LOVEEEEEEEEit
Très chic – I love it!
You have the perfect eye & brow shape for this cut. Seriously chic and stunning!
Very Cute!!!!!
love your blog
till now haven’t commented!
love, love, love your hair cut :)
wish I had the courage to cut mine that short!
Beautiful brows, eyeliner and pixie cut, you are an essay in gamine glamour.
Absolutely adorable…
You are adorable! I wish I could wear my hair like yours!
Soooo cute! I have had very short hair most of my adult life and on occasion have caved to trying to grow it out due to the harrassment of others. On my most recent attempt, I ended up with an unruly, damaged mop that took an hour to blow dry and flat iron (an that was when was just chin length!). I went short again over Christmas and now have strangers stopping me to say how much they love my hairstyle. More of us need to get out there and look fab and feminine with the crop to end the assumptions that short hair = either butch or “I give up and don’t care how I look”! Quite the contrary, short = feminine, stylish and stunning! :)
Hi, just found you via PVE. LOVE your haircut! Perfect for you!
Gorgeous haircut and it suits you beautifully! I wish women had more courage to try new hairstyles as some look much better with their hair cut short, which brings out their beautiful features.
Ada
You are killing that cut…FIERCE!!!
I love your hair. It makes you more gorgeous. Very lovely!
Pretty!
I just cut my hair back to my good ole pixie too! I love love love having short hair–so easy to wash, manage and style and it always looks flawless. You look great!
gorgeous! emma watson eat your heart out!
that is your most perfect look! YES! beautiful.
It looks chic and sleek – love it
Love the cut!
I love love it! I had pixie in my thirties and loved it. I now have long hair but I am dying to cut it again, even though everybody advises me against it, telling me that you should never cut your hair in your 40s as it ages you so much…
BTW, who does you eyebrows in SF? They are DIVINE!
OMG I love it, you look amazing!! I wish I had the guts to do it too, I’ve been thinking about doing it forever…
your eyes are dynamic!!!
