I’m so very excited to share Marais USA with you because I not only adore their shoes, but also know designer Haley Boyd personally and the girl is total sweetheart. After meeting her business partner Catherine Chen at Parsons (both stylish ladies were studying fashion design), the duo dreamt up a shoe company to fill a gap in the market: “simple, versatile, essential styles that won’t break the bank.” Think the American Apparel of shoes…brilliant, right? Founded in 2007, Marais’ first collection was a smashing success and is now being carried by various boutiques (and Urban Outfitters, holy smokes…) across the country! Above is an image from a photo shoot for the upcoming fall collection (that’s Haley looking stunning in the red frock) which looks particularly scrumptious.
