How great are these spools of thread in the home of author Douglas Coupland? I love the pops of color and the way something seemingly ordinary was used to create a true work of art. Hung as they would be in a tailor shop, the spools are in fact a nod to the work of artist Damien Hirst. Coupland’s renovated mid-century home is in Vancouver, British Columbia.
