Surprise! You may have noticed things look a little different around here. When I launched The Neo-Trad in 2009, it was just a hobby. I was waiting tables by day, and never in a million years would I have dreamt blogging would become my full-time gig. Upon closing Matchbook Magazine (RIP) and moving to Europe, I realized I had the perfect opportunity to focus on my personal blog again. After all, it was long overdue for a makeover.
As you may have noticed, The Neo-Trad is now KatieConsiders.com (be sure to update your bookmarks!). I wanted something fresh, as my taste has evolved over the past nine years–and I’m sure yours has too. Here on the new site I intend to throw myself into creating the very best content for all of you. I’m finally finishing up all my city guides (Istanbul! London! Jaipur! Copenhagen!) and have a million other exciting fashion, decor, and travel ideas to share with you soon. I’ll also be inviting you to participate in a reader survey in the coming weeks to learn what you most want to see in this space.
As for the new blog design (thank you, Gatto!), you will still be able to find the most recent posts on the homepage. I’ve also expanded my shop and added a library so you can explore all my favorite books by category (bibliophiles unite!). My newsletter has also been given a major upgrade. Subscribe below and receive a fun “25 Classics Every Woman Needs in her Closet” style guide I put together just for you. I hope you enjoy the new site and this new chapter of my little blog. I remember reading your “Neo-Trad Manifesto” on my first visit to your site and realizing I’d most definitely stumbled upon a kindred spirit. I’ve loved keeping up with your posts ever since, extra especially since your move to Copenhagen, as my father is Danish and the city holds a special place in my heart. I’m now weeks away from graduating college with a BFA in Fashion, and your blog is still a regular destination for me. My style has evolved so much since I became one of your readers, and I’ve loved watching yours do the same. The new site is beautiful, and I can’t wait to see what else you have in store!
