These striking floral still-lifes by New Orleans-born photographer Sharon Core seek to replicate the oil paintings of the Old Masters (and do so magnificently!). I spotted them over at T Magazine yesterday and couldn’t resist sharing them with you. Sharon painstakingly reconstructs the arrangements of historic paintings in her studio and the finished photos are so accurate you can almost smell the fragrant blooms. Given their precision, it’s no surprise Core was once a pastry chef and food stylist. Aren’t they lovely? What I would give for a large print on my wall!
