It’s hard to believe that one week from today Alfred and I will be moving into our Chicago apartment. I was so pleased to learn that 2015 marks the Chicago Architecture Biennale which will feature special exhibitions, events, and installations (in Millennium Park and all across the city) celebrating contemporary architecture. Though it isn’t until October, the Biennale kicked things off by commissioning world-renowned photographer Iwan Baan to shoot a photo-essay of Chicago. His shots above of the iconic skyline stopped me in my tracks. I think I can actually spot my building in the second image from the top–home sweet home!

I’m not even the one moving but I am so excited! I’ve never been to Chicago so I can’t wait to see pics of your apartment and of your adventures. Good luck with the move!
Karen – You’re so sweet! It’s a tiny apartment, don’t get too excited, hah! I promise lots of great pics of Chicago though! Hope you’re having a nice weekend! xx
Welcome to Chicago! You’ll be arriving at the perfect time, I think we’ve seen the last of winter.
