Thought I’d kick off the morning with this stunning shot by Norman Wilkinson. The famed British portrait and fashion photographer worked for both Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue during his long, accomplished career behind the lens. Though he was known for bringing his beautiful subjects out of the studio and onto London’s bustling streets, this particular indoor shot caught my eye. We can’t tell if she’s laughing or crying, just that she’s positively lovely.
lovely.
the wonder is my favorite part of a photograph – and being the eternal optimist, dreamer and hopeless romantic i believe she is giggling about a secret. :)
xo,
sylvie of silver lining
Oh, she is smiling … a beautiful dress, flowers and diamonds at her wrist? Definitely smiling.
Such a beautiful photo.
so so beautiful!
seems like we’re all in the same mode – thinking about those photographers from that certain age who shot for Bazaar!
