My friend Jane and I first discovered Uppercase Magazine for sale at a stationary boutique in Manhattan and what a find it was! We both splurged on a copy of the newly founded publication “for the creative and curious” and drooled over each and every page. Well, the second issue is out and I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy (it’s already sold out, but it looks as though if you subscribe your subscription begins with the second issue)! Based out of Calgary in Alberta, Canada the magazine is a 100-page feast for the eyes. When I opened the first issue to find the typewriter below I thought, “if Kate Spade made a magazine this is what it would look like…” As you can see from the selection of pages below the publication is fun and bright, brimming with spectacular whimsical, vintage-inspired graphics. To get a feel for the magazine be sure to watch the video at the end of this post. If it doesn’t convince you to pick up a copy I don’t know what will!
A charming little film:
