If you share my weakness for wicker you’ll be thrilled to learn that Nashville-based interior designer Sarah Bartholomew (remember these dreamy spaces?) has launched a lovely new wicker furniture collaboration. The 17-piece Cape collection for Mainly Baskets Home includes classic woven seating, tables, and lighting. Among Sarah’s many inspirations were Givenchy’s vaulted atelier at Le Jonchet (his spectacular French chateau) and his pool house at Le Clos Fiorentina (his home on Cap Ferrat). While I’d gladly take one of everything, my personal favorites from Sarah’s collection have to be the understatedly chic Chatham Slipper Chair and the playful Fairfield Table Lamp. Read on to explore more of the gorgeous new Mainly Baskets collaboration.
“Wicker exudes an elevated simplicity. At once, it is both casual and elegant. Two of my design icons, Hubert Givenchy and Marella Agnelli, both had a love of wicker, and initially, the collection was inspired by the classic vintage pieces I have long loved.” – Sarah Bartholomew
I love the sweet bows on the back of the dining chair seat cushions. Sarah clearly considered every little detail when designing the collection.
Pictured above is the Whitehaven Table Lamp (with a fun blue and white gathered shade!) and the Tisbury Dining Arm Chair. Though it’s not part of the collaboration, you know I love that skirted table.
The wicker Chatham Chaise would be the perfect place to curl up with a book.
In the photo above Sarah’s own Nashville living room has been styled with the new wicker furniture collection. Of course you can’t go wrong with blue and white!
The braided detail on the armchair is especially handsome and timeless.

i’ve been a tremendous fan of mainly baskets for years now – this collaboration is fabulous.
what i’m most interested in however, is the woven chargers on the table in your first photo! Can we locate these?
also, i was going through boxes of old notes etc… and came across a few of the lovely notes you always sent with purchases from your old etsy shop (from like, 10yrs ago!)

Julia – I remember writing those notes, too funny! I have the same placemats as Sarah—recently treated myself to them for my birthday actually! You can find them here: https://bit.ly/placematkc1 Hope this helps!

Do you have any idea where the ceiling light in the dining room photo is from? I have been trying to track it down for days and I’m having no luck!
Katie Armour Taylor says
Jordan – I’m not sure about the pendant light above, but I know Sarah has a very similar fixture hanging in her breakfast room that I believe is by Vaughan Designs. https://www.vaughandesigns.com/us/search?q=hanging+shade Hope this helps! You can supply them with any fabric. I’ve had their hanging shades saved in my “Dream Home” file for a long time! xo P.S. You can see the breakfast room light in this post: https://katieconsiders.com/2016/08/23/decorator-sarah-bartholomews-nashville-home/
