British interior designer extraordinaire Rita Konig has decorated the darling new 850 Hotel in West Hollywood. Jeff Klein, the hotelier behind the Sunset Tower, is the brains behind the much-buzzed-about 23-room property. 850 sits on the site of the former San Vicente Inn and looks more like a private bungalow than a luxury boutique hotel. In keeping with Konig’s playful style, the guest rooms are full of one-of-a-kind touches like marbled lampshades, scalloped trays, and block print wallpaper. I especially love the hotel’s canary yellow kitchen (complete with a dutch door!) and the rooftop deck with its panoramic views over the Hollywood hills. Below, explore more of the gorgeous new hotel and book yourself a room here.

Love everything about this place, especially the rattan furniture on the roof terrace!
Well that is just adorable! Thank you very much for sharing! Such a fun and fresh design.
What a delightfully fresh hotel – reminiscent of b&bs I have stayed in while in Italy, England and The Netherlands. The addition of books truly makes the rooms feel homey. Also glad to see a hotel that doesn’t look like thousands of others. Love the touch of that incredible yellow! We need to reassess what I learned years ago when trying to find the best color to match my navy blue leather sofas and red Persian rug – yellow of course! It’s the happiest of neutrals. I can’t think of a single color that doesn’t become more lovely when matched with yellow. Gorgeous hotel.
Julie – Rattan for the win! I can’t get enough of it either!
Susan – So glad you enjoyed it! I hope you get to stay there someday!
Terri – I love yellow too! Farrow & Ball has a mustard yellow shade called Babouche that I am dying to use in my house someday. Great minds!
It is the perfect example of the home away home feeling. I hope I will have the chance to visit it one day.
Love your post Katie. Any chance you know who makes the brown wallpaper seen in the bathroom you posted? Love it
