I’ve enjoyed following the career of Australian interior designer Anna Spiro (her book is a must-have) for years and this peek at her new Brisbane headquarters is a feast for the eyes. Under Anna’s guidance, what was once an ordinary 1930’s block of flats in city’s New Farm neighborhood is now a colorful oasis buzzing with creativity. Anna and her team (Kedlem Construction did the building and Craig and Brent Madders tackled the cabinetry) extensively renovated the space to include a conference room, smaller meeting room, custom desks, beautiful built-in bookshelves, and countless other savvy details. Anna wanted the finished space “to feel like someone’s lovely old Art Deco apartment” and clearly, she succeeded. The pale green conference room is the perfect space to present design schemes to clients and the material and reference library is every decorator’s workspace dream. Below, explore more of the inspiring interior design office, and explore some of Anna’s stunning residential projects here.
Love the antique Staffordshire figures atop the stacks of magazines on this console table.
A bold color palette in the conference room.
Built-in bookcases are extra fun in a pretty pale green.
I love when art is hung from bookshelves. It adds a fabulous focal point at the head of the conference table.
Surely the chicest filing storage I’ve ever seen! You know I’m mad about marbled paper.
Another glimpse of the gorgeous green library shelving.
Flowers propped up on a fabulous yellow pedestal.
The powder room’s seashell wallpaper (by John Derian!) and scalloped red mirror are beyond charming.
Another glimpse of the seashell goodness.
The lavender walls in the conference room look far more pink with this warm interior lighting. Note the oriental rug layered over the wall to wall sisal, always a chic choice.
Throughout the office are Bridie Hall’s darling decoupage alphabet brush pots.
So smart to have cork board on the backsplash of the cabinetry. Perfect for pinning design schemes!
Even the lampshades flaunt Anna’s love of color and pattern.
I’m guessing the desk above is in Anna’s personal office. Love the plaster chandelier!
Love the pop of color Rita Konig’s scalloped Belle Reves tray adds to this antique desk.
The talented Anna Spiro Design team (that’s Anna in the fabulous pink skirt!). I hope you’ve enjoyed this office tour! Stay tuned for more home and workspace tours in the future!

Love love love Anna Spiro’s work. Absolutely Beautiful Things is one of my all-time favorite and most useful design books. I have loved following her on Instagram and it’s great seeing these images of her completed office–it was fun to follow along during the process.
I only wish she would come out with another book!
Thanks for sharing!
