Thank you to those that left sweet comments and sent notes about my pug Alfred last week. He’s been up and down and we spent six hours at the emergency vet today where he saw a neurologist. I’ve been worried sick about the little guy and had a good cry in front of the very sweet veterinarian (the emotionally fragile girl wearing a leopard coat, pug socks, and Birkenstocks—that’s me!). We’re hoping he’s finally on the mend now, but we shall see… Moving along, can we now just look at pretty things online? Tara – Thanks so much! I had hoped he was on the mend, but this morning was awful. Think we may have sorted it out though. If you see a girl in socks and Birkenstocks with a wobbly pug in the neighborhood, that’s us!

Katie, SO sorry about Alfred. I miss my black pug, Mr. Tubbs, so I understand your worry. I do hope he fully recovers. Sending you and Alfred good wishes.
Rusty and I are sending Alfred our get well vibes. They always say go ahead and cry, better out than in. You have a lot on your plate, be kind to yourself.
Katie, I, too, have a pug that has had MAJOR neurological issues. She was actually airlifted to the vet school at WSU the day I went in to be induced with our daughter. Long story short, she’s fine today but requires daily steroids and chemo to keep her immune system from attacking her brain. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me. WSU is great and we are so grateful to them for saving our Bernice. Pugs are the absolute best and it breaks my heart to hear a fellow pug owner going through something similar!

I’m so sorry to hear about Alfred! Coco was in the hospital for three weeks this time last year and I was so distraught I literally could not function, so I know how upsetting it is when your dear pet is sick. How is he doing? Sending so much love and cuddles for you both!
