Pretty City London: Discovering London’s Beautiful Places
If you share my love of the @PrettyCityLondon instagram account then you’ll be thrilled to learn that its creator, Siobhan Ferguson, has a book coming out by the same name. The gorgeous new read will be essential for design lovers visiting London. Pre-order your copy here.
Always at The Carlyle
This new documentary by the creator of Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorfs (loved it) takes you behind the shiny doors of New York’s legendary Carlyle Hotel. It’s one of my favorite spots in all of Manhattan (cocktail hour at Bemelmans Bar is a must) and everyone from Princess Diana to JFK have called it home for a night or two. Can’t wait to see the film.
Luke Edward Hall for Emporio Sirenuse
I love this new collaboration! London-based art darling Luke Edward Hall has created a handful of fabulous pieces for the iconic Italian hotel, Le Sirenuse. The pieces are available online and from the hotel’s boutique, Emporio Sirenuse, in Positano on the Amalfi Coast.
West Elm for Pottery Barn Kids
Two of my favorite home brands, West Elm and Pottery Barn, have partnered up to launch a stylish new children’s collection. The pieces are all mid-century inspired and I’m loving this simple crib and the floral burst chandelier above.
Party Girls Die in Pearls
I know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but the new paperback version of Plum Sykes comedic murder mystery is just too good. Set at England’s prestigious Oxford University, the main character is a Miss Ursula Flowerbutton (you know I love it). Oh and it has decent reviews too. Perfect for lazy days at the beach this summer. Snatch up your copy here.
Draper James for Crate & Barrel
Reese Witherspoon’s proud Southern lifestyle brand Draper James designed a playful line for Crate & Barrel. While some of it is far too cutesy for my taste, there are still some great pieces like these blue and white napkins, these woven placemats, and the striped indoor/outdoor flatware above. Shop the entire collection here.
The Gospel According to André
This new documentary about fashion icon André Leon Talley is high on my summer watch list. The film, “takes viewers on an emotional journey from André’s roots growing up in the segregated Jim Crow South to become one of the most influential tastemakers and fashion curators of our times.” His is such an inspiring story. Anna Wintour, Tom Ford, and Marc Jacobs all make appearances in the film. In theaters May 25, 2018.

Love this post! I really enjoyed ‘Party Girls Die in Pearls,’ but found the hardcover jacket design so weird! Glad to see they hit the right note with the paperback!

Julie – I wasn’t a fan of the hardcover design either! I usually shop for books in the UK these days and in general, the American book covers are so much better (granted, I may be a bit biased!). Thanks for stopping by! xx

I squealed when I saw Always at the Carlyle is coming soon– can’t wait!!

Katherine – I don’t think I’ll be able to see it in theaters in Denmark so you’ll have to let me know what you think!
