I know I’m late to the party, but I watched Home Again on my flight back from Japan yesterday and found myself longing to live on the movie set. I feel as though I’ve spent my whole adult life resisting moving back to California (can’t wait to see Lady Bird when it comes out here…) but when I see interiors like those in the movie, I think it’s time to give in and head home. The film was written and directed by Hallie Meyers-Shyer, daughter of beloved director Nancy Meyers (Something’s Gotta Give, It’s Complicated, The Holiday…). Filmed in a 1929 Spanish-style hacienda in Brentwood, the Home Again decor is impossibly chic. The interiors were the mastermind of the film’s production designer, Ellen Brill, and set decorator, Nicole Cates. It’s no surprise Los Angeles-based designer Mark D. Sikes also weighed in (I sent my grandmother a copy of his book for Christmas). Below, I’ve rounded up some inspiring images of the film’s set and shared my suggestions on how you can get the look.
