Last night, I was perusing the Carrier & Company portfolio online and was reminded of this lovely retreat they decorated for Vogue editor Anna Wintour. The home was published in the October 2010 issue of The World of Interiors and remains a classic today. Built in 1820, the rustic escape is located on the Forge River in Mastic, Long Island and serves as a summer getaway for Wintour, her family, and friends. Explore more of the charming home below.

This was my grandfather’s home long before Anna Wintour.
I spent much of my childhood here.
Too bad some of the beautiful details and paneling are no longer.
It was always a lived in house.
The library was my favorite room.
My grandfather remodeled the house and more than doubled the size of the original house.
It was purchased from Ella Dana, widow of Billy Dana my grandfather’s close friend.
There is a lot of history on the estate.A number of lovely homes.
