When American socialite Katherine Bryan purchased a dilapidated Paris pied-à-terre she enlisted Italian design firm Studio Peregalli to transform the space from floor to ceiling. Published by Elle Decor, the Left Bank flat (a stone’s throw from the Musée Rodin…the dream!) won Katherine over with its high ceilings and original plaster moldings. I’m personally in love with the home’s cozy library (pictured above, love me some leopard) and the guest bedroom with its custom Turquerie-style sofa bed and canopy. Also of note, the antiqued mirrored walls in the dining room which were hand-painted in a floral design (the result is magical!). Explore more of the grand Parisian abode below.

Does the article say if those gorgeous dining room walls were painted over the glass or reverse painted behind the glass and then mirrored? I have a friend who is a well known decorative painter and muralist in metro Detroit and she thought that maybe the technique used here is eglomise? I am curious because I would love to have her duplicate something similar in my home.
