I hate to admit it but I love my kindle. I can read in the dark while my husband sleeps, order library books for free without leaving the house(!), and it was perfect for nursing and newborn months due to it being one-handed and silent (fingers crossed for you). Plus it’s teeny tiny so I throw it into my bag and read (instead of checking instagram) whenever I have a few minutes to kill somewhere.

I’m 110% obsessed with my Kindle. I’ve seriously seriously gotten my money’s worth out of it and as much as I adore the new white, I couldn’t betray my baby by replacing her (had it for 3 years). Tips: I’m an American living abroad and my local library lets me rent Kindle books through their web interface still! I sign up for a bunch and as they roll in I download them. If you’re a little slow and slightly unethical you can download a book from the library and then turn off your WiFi and it won’t take it back from you when it expires. Also, BookBub will send you an email every day with deals on Kindle books. I’ve picked up some great books for $1-3.

I to am obsessed with my Kindle, so light and easy to read in bed, no need for the light to be on,so no
disturbing your partner . As for travelling you can load your Kindle with several books and magazines, no heavy books to carry.
