I’m tempted to hop on a plane to London on Wednesday to see Fleur Cowles’ private collection be auctioned off at Christie’s. The legendary magazine editor behind Flair, Cowles was a society darling on both sides of the pond having befriended everyone from the Reagans to HRH the Queen Mother. The November 23 auction of Cowles’ private collection includes a Picasso painting, fabulous needlepoint pillows, a Chinoiserie painted opium bed, and countless other extraordinary treasures. Below are images of her stunning former home in London. What a woman, what a life!
Thank you, Katie! These pics make my heart so happy! I will pour over them again & again.
Denise – I’m so glad you enjoyed them! I’m wishing I could move into her study!
