I don’t feel particularly homesick for America these days, but every time I see an instagram of summertime in Sag Harbor I become a sad puppy and text my husband “Let’s move back to New York!” That won’t be happening anytime soon, but this home by Bloom boutique owner Mona Nerenberg is all my Hamptons dreams come true. Published in the July issue of Elle Decor, Mona shares the beautiful space with her partner, landscape designer Lisa Bynon, and their two Bengal cats. When they bought the cottage it was an abandoned property with an attic full of bats, but with some tasteful renovations the couple (in collaboration with decorator Mark Cunningham) managed to transform the home into this masterpiece. What I would give to curl up on that rolled-arm sofa with a cup of tea and a good book!
