The Private Collection of Joan Rivers

On June 22 Christie’s New York is auctioning off the private collection of native-New York comedian Joan Rivers and the pieces are almost as fabulous as the woman herself. Among Joan’s gems are a faux tortoise shell vanity set (see below, I’m obsessed!), an opulent silk upholstered dog house (pictured above), and silver Cartier bag engraved “Joan’s trash bag.” If you’re in New York, you can preview the pieces in person from June 17-21 in Christie’s Rockefeller Plaza location.
