Southern interior designer William McClure recently published handsome photos of his Birmingham, Alabama home and I thought you’d enjoy a tour. The space has a fantastic mix of antique and contemporary pieces (the neo-trad dream…) and boasts an enviable collection of blue and white china. From the dark, masculine bedroom to the sunny common space, each room is layered with pretty textiles and accessories. Bookmarking the images as inspiration for our new apartment! Scroll to the bottom of this post to see how I’d channel William’s decorating style.

It looks like the red room and the first white room are the same space at different times? How fascinating to see both! I’m fairly infatuated with the bedroom – perfect layering of art, antiques, botanicals, textiles… so much to look at!

I used to live across the street from him. Ah, if I had only known him! Such a beautiful street and great neighborhood. I miss it.

Katie ~ I’m interested in the seagrass garden stool you’ve shared. The link you’ve provided goes to Williams Sonoma, and it is not there. Any suggestions where I can locate the one you featured? Thank you!
