I’m learning a great deal about Scandinavian design living in Denmark and have been gathering lots of inspiration for our future apartment. Living in temporary digs, as we are for the next few months, can be such a bummer, but luckily I’ve found some new art and accessories to make our spring rental feel more like home. This sweet flat in Gothenburg, Sweden (only four hours from Copenhagen—I’m tempted to make a quick trip!), is minimalist yet also quite cozy. The space has such good bones (as do so many apartments in this part of the world), and I love the gorgeous wallpapers used throughout. In the living room, you can spot an Aalto vase on the coffee table (classic Finnish design!) and a Svenskt Tenn vase on the sideboard. I tease my Scandinavian friends that there isn’t a Swedish apartment published without this vase (I love it in pink). I’m curious to see if all this monochrome, minimalist Scandinavian design will rub off on me…time will tell!

love this apartment! it’s gorgeous – minimal yet still cozy. which is the look i’m striving to achieve. i’m on the hunt for fabulous wallpaper for our dining room ceiling but it seems like everything i love is so expensive. do you have any recommendations outside of hygge and chasing paper? thank you in advanced!

Such a sweet apartment! This post made me laugh because that vase really is everywhere! It’s a great design but I prefer the ‘Hortus’ over it though.. xx
