During our whirlwind 36-hour trip to Paris this fall, we had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal, a five-star luxury hotel in the very heart of the city. Since I knew we’d be exploring both banks, I wanted to be near the Seine and the hotel’s prime location (steps from the Louvre and Tuileries!) was just perfect. Without even knowing we’d gotten engaged the day before (!!), they generously upgraded us to a stunning penthouse suite with sweeping views of the Parisian skyline. Our morning arrival didn’t stop us from popping open the champagne and macarons they sent up to our private balcony. From the stunning marble bath to the perfectly pressed sheets, our entire stay felt like a dream (I’m still pinching myself). The two photos above I snapped from our sitting room window (note Sacré-Cœur in the distance…) and all the others are from the Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal’s fabulous instagram account, which I’d been following long before the trip with great excitement.
