Years ago we all drooled over Max Sinsteden’s kelly green dorm walls in New York Magazine; today he’s upgraded to a Manhattan studio and the result is equally chic. House Beautiful published Max’s new 525 square foot abode in their July/August issue and the space is as handsome as it is petite. The 27-year-old decorator got his start working for design icon David Easton before moving on to work for the legendary Charlotte Moss. Today he runs his own firm, Olasky & Sinsteden, with fellow decorator Catherine Olasky. I can’t help but admire his appreciation for all things traditional in today’s minimalist design landscape. From his monogrammed Leontine linens to his enviable book collection, Max’s classic style is all his own.
