I’ve loved following Anna Spiro’s instagram as she decorates Halcyon House, a new boutique hotel on Australia’s Carbarita Beach. The bold interiors feature Anna’s trademark pattern play with colorful textiles, wallpapers, and floor tiles. The coastal inspired gallery walls are a highlight and feature many pieces by Wayne Pate, an immensely talented Brooklyn artist I have long adored. Anna and I met ages ago in New York and her projects have delighted me for years. Not only is she brilliant when it comes to design, she also happens to be one of the kindest, most genuine women I’ve had the good fortune to meet from the blogosphere. This looks idyllic! I’ve had my eye on Australia for a trip one day and Halcyon House may lure me to New South Wales once I make it there. The blue and gold sink combo is gorgeous–it’s the perfect mix of casual and elegant style for a laid-back, glamorous getaway. Feel like the Aussies have mastered that lifestyle down under :)
