Found these photos of my grandparents, Rita and Buddy, this evening and just had to scan and share them. The first is their wedding, the second leaving for their honeymoon and the third an old glamour shot of my grandmother’s (she’s going to kill me for sharing it!). Grandpa Buddy is in heaven now (truly one of the most kind and wonderful men to have ever lived…), but Rita still lives here in California and never fails to wow people with her grace and beauty. Love you grandmama!
P.S. You can’t tell from the photos, but Rita is a red head…lovely, right? My mother and little brother are too : )

I was looking through my grandmother’s wedding album the other day–she kept snippets of chantilly lace and dried flowers, it was like traveling to the past! Loved this post!

Hi Katie, what a beautiful couple. It looks like the wedding was in the 1940-50’s?!! She was gorgeous, blue eyed and a red head, wow!! I think the pict. with her drape is gorgeous, probably her senior pict. that is how my Aunts picture was taken also. I posted a pict of my hubby and myself leaving on our honeymoon on my blog for Valentines day. It is fun to compare the different era’s. I am sure your Grandma Rita is very proud of her granddaughter. KS
