Anthropologie always has fantastic holiday decorations and this year is no exception. I’m especially smitten with this little moose (Mr. Armour grew up in Maine), the cleverly titled Golightly’s Favorite Ornament, and this terribly chic feather wreath. As far as I’m concerned it’s never too early to get in the holiday spirit!
What is your favorite holiday decoration?
Susan says
Ok I MUST have that wreath! Just saw they have a matching mini tree to go with it…LOVE.
Katie Armour says
Susan — I think I’m going to scoop one up too. I can’t resist.

I’m a sucker for a Christmas tree. The smell and beautiful ornaments make the house filled with spirit. Though the best time to look at the Christmas tree is at night with only the christmas tree lights on. So magical…

I love Anthropologie decor! They always get it right. And in general, I’m also a big fan of white lights for the holidays. Always very classy.

I grew up in Portland, Maine…how I miss it!
Katie Armour says
Lisa — Too funny, my mother only allows white lights. She agrees with you : )
Kristina — Get out! Portland is one of my very favorite cities. I can’t wait to visit next year. xx

I love that the feather wreath is much more winter-y than christmas-y. My favorite holiday decoration was when my mom would let me attach these static cling snowflakes to all the windows around the house. I grew up in central Texas, where there was never any remote chance of snow, so I got to at least pretend to be surrounded by a winter wonderland!

A pearl coated sphere? I need it!

Oh I love the wreath! It’s such an unusual twist on traditional wreaths. It would actually work all year long, I especially love that.

I love our Christmas tree. We live about 1/2 of a mile from the beach…so we decorate it entirely with sea-shells, sand-dollars, sea-glass (ect)…topped off with a giant starfish!

Excuse me if this has a hint of mistrust, I don’t indeed it to be (!) but I went to anthro a few days ago and loved these little ornaments!
Handmade!
From India!
and like $16-$20.00 each!
Do you think that price is because most of the proceeds are going to skill of the craftsman? Or into company pocketbooks?
Katie Armour says
Roe — I suppose we can only hope it supports both a company we appreciate and the skilled craftsman behind the product…

Kit’s tree sounds lovely, I am a beach fanatic- My other great obsession is snowflakes- I teach my students to make complicated cut snowflakes every year, to put in windows and on the tree- It’s so fun and relaxing!
