How fantastic is this newly published Miles Redd project in NY Magazine? The place aparently looked like a “rec room” when it began, but thanks to Redd’s fearless use of color it’s now quite the jewel box! The bedroom is my very favorite room—just look at those bright, glossy doors. Perhaps the best part? Redd’s inspiration for the Hollywood Regency-esque interiors was the dapper Fred Astaire in Top Hat.
I have loved Miles Redd since college… the brightly colored glitz & glam never gets old :)
I adore his use of vibrant colours–and lacquer!
HannahB — I agree. I never tire of it!
Connie — He does use the lacquer liberally and yet, it always seems to work!
This is fantastic. Can’t you just see someone having a fabulous party here?
Abbie — YES! I hope we’re invited ; )
Wow, love this!
The lacquered pieces and details really SHINE.
We need to meet up soon!
I’m trying to put together a Holiday Soiree for some Bay Area Bloggers!!!

Right?
I was pouring over his newly published rooms in the Veranda Nov / Dec magazine.
Brilliant…… Genius!

I agree. Love like I have never known could exist.
Hi there! I love your blog and I’ve been reading it for a long time. Just thought I’d let you know this: I follow many blogs in Google Reader and your images consistently do not load in Reader. I don’t know why, and I don’t have the same problem with other blogs I follow. Just thought I ought to let you know in case it can be fixed. :)
The chairs flanking the fireplace are a MUST HAVE. Fantastic.
And can you imagine the food that needs to be served for a party in that space?! Awesome!
Kelly — I’ve heard this before and haven’t the slightest clue what’s going on?! Will investigate. Thank you for letting me know! xx
that geometric floor! i’m drooling….
If only I could be that brave with color!! Love it!
Love the multi-color dining room chairs!
Miles Redd can do no wrong in my book! I’m with elissa – LOVE the floors!!
