Would you believe me if I told you these beautiful heart pendants were in fact made from dismantled nuclear missile systems? It’s true! My brilliant Uncle Paul just launched a jewelry business called From War to Peace and I’m terribly proud of him. He bought copper from actual disarmed nuclear weapons and commissioned artisans to create peace-inspired jewelry from it—isn’t it a beautiful idea? These lovely organic heart pendants are my favorite. I’m hoping for one in polished bronze on a long rolo chain for Christmas (and am hoping my dad reads this post!). Congratulations Uncle Paul—I think we all share your dream of turning “bombs in beauty, hate into love and war into peace.” Love you and know Aunt Sandee is looking down so very proud.
beautiful hearts & a beautiful idea!
what a wonderful and inspiring idea.
Holy beautiful! Thank you for sharing these — I just bought one for myself and I think my sister might need one for Christmas. (I thought they might be millions of dollars but really, they’re killer affordable.) Such a brilliant idea, and the jewelry is lovely. You have a talented and inspiring uncle.
What a beautiful, amazing idea. These are definitely going on my Christams list- both go give and get!
So neat! I have a sister who would LOVE one of the pendants. She has traveled the world and this would be a perfect gift. Added to my Christmas shopping list. Thanks for the link and bravo Uncle Paul!
Thank you ladies! I’m so glad you appreciate these. I love that both the jewelry and the story behind it is so simple and beautiful. Cheers to world peace : )
This is so awesome! I am going to order a necklace for my Mom for Christmas! Do you know if when you order it comes with any sort of information about how its made?
Emily — I’m fairly certain they include something with the backstory, but I’ll find out!
AMAZING CONCEPT and beautifully executed! Also, congrats on the ads!
This is great! I want to buy armfuls to just hand out to people!
I was at a march/rally in NYC a few years back to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the bomb drop in Japan worked towards nuclear disarmament. The cutest little old Japanese man came up to me, hugged me, gave me a peace button and said it broken English, “Thank you. I love you. No nukes!” I felt special… then I realized he did it to all the girls. Not only was he working towards World Peace, he was totally macking on all the ladies, too.
Eva — Thanks Eva! xx
Deanna — That is such a funny story! Smart man… ; )
i don’t like hearts. just in general. but they are strikingly beautiful- and i thought so before you went on to tell us what they are made of.
good luck to your uncle. I’m sure he will be quite successful.
Erin — I know what you mean about hearts, they can be a bit cliche at times. The design of these is a combination of a heart and a dove—I’m so glad you like it!
These are absolutely splendid! I know several ladies in my family and girlfriends who would be absolutely smitten with these – just a step closer to checking off my Christmas/Hanukkah list. Thanks for sharing with us!
Ordering one now for me… and planning to order as christmas gifts for the ladies in my family!
love the options for chains and lengths! super fab, super affordable.
thanks for sharing!
Shoshana and Lindsey — I can’t tell you how much it means to me to hear your approval and excitement over the designs! My uncle is going to be so tickled! xx
What a fantastic concept! Affordable too. Bravo to your uncle. :)
What an amazing idea-of course, it’s no surprise that your family is as wildly talented as you are! The pieces are absolutely stunning!
What a great idea! I want a heart one to put on a pretty string!
Yes, pretty good chance I will read your post! Let’s see what Santa brings you in a few weeks. Hmmm.
Your website consistently looks terrific, dear Katie. Ever so proud of you! Love, Dad
My mom is definitely getting one of these for Christmas!!
And, oh my god, how adorable that your dad commented! I’m swooning.
These are incredible, Katie! Love love love the design and the genius concept. Definitely will be buying!
So thoughtful of you and your uncle to do my holiday shopping for me Kate! I absolutely love the bronze wave! So perfect for several of the surfers on my list….and the Heiwa is stunning as well! Could there be a better message for the new year than, “From War to Peace?” I think not!
What a wonderful idea, and message and creativity all in one, and these hearts make very beautiful jewelry too.
Katie, I think your Uncle is brilliant! What a fantastic idea, and what an interesting story to tell for each person that wears a piece of his jewelry. Congratulations to him.
