Hello loves! I’m ridiculously excited today to be giving away two bow ties from the charming Southern Proper. As you may remember from our Plucky Pioneer interview with founder Emmie Howard, we’re big fans! The first bow tie is yellow with duck boots and the second lavender with trout (valued at $55 each). My thirteen year old brother! He’s growing into such a handsome young man. He’s exploring his style – some days he dresses like a skater and will only say “yo”; then, the next day he’s very preppy and will hold doors open for me.
Nick will DEFINITELY need bow ties with animal prints on them now that he’s almost a doctor. Purple is his color for sure.

WOW! these are great! I’ve always loved their website. Well, if I won I would gift the bow tie to my dashing Scottish husband for his birthday on November 2nd! He is supporting me emotionally and financially through law school, what a gem!! Then I would go and promptly buy the matching headband for myself :)

LOVE Southern Proper. I am sure my husband would look dashing in these while either shooting a wedding or working his main job as a pastor. Of course my favorite place for him to wear it would be out on a date with me!
I would give it to my sweet boyfriend ethan. he’s a small town boy but loves to dress up and would look absolutely darling in a bow tie..even if he doesn’t think so! He is one of the most darling people I have ever met and I just know that I have a dress to match perfect for our formal together :)
My husband is the consummate bow tie aficionado resembling the epitome of what it means to be a proper southern gentleman. He loves bow ties so passionately that I can hardly get him to wear a regular tie.

I would definitely give it to my adorable and Southern boyfriend, Lance. Although from a small town in North Carolina, he is very aware of fashion and even shops for me! Lance has also been a huge emotional support as I finish up architecture school hours away from him.

Oh I just love Southern Proper! I’d say that any and all of my brothers would be envious of one of their bow ties but I’d have to give it to my boyfriend who is Mr. Outdoorsman and also looks dashing in a bow tie! I always tease him for his duck boots and he would just die if I ended up giving him a bow tie bedecked in them!

These are adorable! Jack (my partner in crime, business and life) owns a single, fatty black bow tie, and has been on the hunt for some whimsical alternatives for AGES – he would be so excited by these!

Genuine….that’s how you describe my son Reid. I know I am his mother and I am partial, but Reid is the epitome of a southern gentleman. Oh, he’s preppy and loves nothing better than a great bow tie, but that is not what makes him a southern gentleman. It’s the way he always says yes ma’am when I am talking to him, how he thanks me after breakfast every morning or the way he steps aside to let me go first in the communion line. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t hesitate to always say he loves me at the end of a phone call or because he always finds time to call his two sisters to check in on them each week. Maybe it’s the way he writes me a small note to say sorry when he thinks he has let me down. These may be small gestures to some, but to me it let’s me know I did my job. As he left for his freshman year at college a few weeks ago, I couldn’t help but beam with pride…I knew I had raised one fine, southern gentleman. So, as a thank you for being a great son, I ask that you consider Reid as a recipient of the new bow ties. If he wins I can hear it now, “Ahhh Mom, you didn’t have to do that, but thanks anyway.” He’ll have it on the next day!

These bow ties are too cute and I think my hubby would look adorable in them! He’s a high school special ed teacher, and loves an excuse to wear something a bit more stylish than his typical coaching logo’ed polo! :)
Since there is no lucky special man in my life worthy of a gift like this, either my father or my brother! Both are worthy, but they will have to fight over who gets the prize. They would do the bow tie justice with their fashion repertoire of seersucker, duck boots, etc!
