Someday I’m vacationing at the Giraffe Manor in Kenya. As you may have gathered, the 1932 ivy-covered lodge shares the grounds with a herd of giraffes. The friendly fellows often peek in the windows to say hello and you’re allowed to pet and feed them! Is it just me or is this the coolest place on earth?
P.S. Thanks to my fabulous reader, Mackenzie, for telling me about it!
Oh man this is making me nostalgic. I think giraffe manor was my 2nd or 3rd post on my blog back when I started it at the end of December! Seems like the most perfect vacation, doesn’t it?
Kayla — I think everyone has heard of it but me! I’m obsessed! XX
Umm…that is the coolest thing. ever.
thanks for posting it :) this place is on my bucket list for sure!
I love this!! What an awesome vacation :)
Mackenzie — I forgot to link to Design Darling, there, that’s better! XX
um… awesome! it’s like a dream world, frolicing with giraffes. that kind of stuff just doesn’t exsist!
This is absolutely amazing. I SO need to go one day — have I ever mentioned that giraffes are one of my favorite animals? They’re so beautiful and graceful.
I’ve never heard of it – so fab! The little one and I got to feed a giraffe at the Columbia, SC zoo last fall – she was so excited (and a little scared!) Such beautiful creatures!
Jenny — So jealous right now. I love baby giraffes. Too cute.
P.S. Pixie hair whaaa? Email me, young miss!
That is amazing!! Not just the giraffes but the ivy covered house too! Giraffe Manor is definitely on the travel list!
Mariel — Emailing you now!
Elizabeth Rose — I know right? A stunning manor AND the giraffes—it’s unbeatable! XX
It’s like a living dream! I’m obsessed with giraffes right now… am expecting in August and everything has a giraffe! :)
Amber — That is so exciting! Congrats! How cute the nursery must be! Oh and I love that your email has “mrs” in it. KatieArmour {at} gmail.com is taken so I might be going that route. XX

Hi Katie, so glad to have found your gorgeous blog. I LOVE it ♥
This is beyond fantastic!! Stay in a gorgeous place AND get to pet a giraffe? Doesn’t really get any better than that!!
This is definitely the coolest place on earth. So cute that they pop in to say hello!

Ohmygosh! I just got off work or I would have gasped/squealed/commented earlier. I absolutely have to go here – it’s going on my bucket list. I have loved giraffes since I was 3 when I fell into their “cage” (I hate to call it that) at a zoo and my mom screamed as my dad kept recording on the video camera. It’s funny to watch, ha!
Today is my favorite day on theneotraditionalist because everything you posted is absolutely delicious. Love it.
I love giraffes!!! They are so beautiful. It was like that with monkeys running around where I stayed while on safari. So crazy! And I vote for Kenya! That’s where I went on a mission trip and I love that country.
Giraffes are my number one obsession. I don’t collect anything… but giraffes. I am even getting a giraffe tattoo! I am officially planning my honeymoon to this place.
Such a great post! Luv it…..

This looks like pure goodness. thanks for sharing!
I’ll have to put this on the list of places to take my giraffe-loving, photog husband. I mean, come on. The whole trip would be a huge photo op!
My sister is doing a fellowship in Kenya for a year. I have been thinking Christmas in Kenya and I think I’m going to have to visit this place!
So amazing! Though I’m not sure I’d like one poking over my head at breakfast! And how fabulous is Mackenzie? I absolutely love her blogs.
Omg omg omg, definitely the coolest place on earth! I am OBSESSED with Giraffes, honeymoon perhaps? ‘Cept I think you have to get a bunch of shots to go to Kenya and that is pretty much a dealbreaker for me.
Oh my god! Today I learned about a 3-day seat-sale for plane tickets to Kenya and I was daydreaming about it.. And I came upon this just now while catching up on my blog reading. This is the best! Hands down! Thanks for sharing. :)
